Week 16

I have now completed my 16th week of pregnancy, within the 2nd trimester!  Apparently the baby is now the size of a turnip–how cute.  It’s about 5 inches big, which is pretty amazing.

I still feel fantastic–great energy and no nausea!  Pizza and nectarines are still #1 around here, but no super strong cravings.

The biggest news this week is that I am feeling some tiny baby flutters for the first time!!!  It’s pretty amazing, and makes me even more excited for our ultrasound appointment late next month when we find out the gender.

Lately I’ve been having a lot of fun finding cute baby sewing craft projects to work on.  I haven’t actually started making anything, but I’m having a lot of fun looking!  The top priority right now is getting my craft room moved next door so we can start planning the baby’s room.  It’s definitely nice to have the time during my summer vacation to get that done!

The excitement is definitely building around here as the weeks fly by!
